Bardzo burzliwy przebieg miała wczorajsza manifestacja francuskich strażaków w Paryżu.
Protesty we Francji to od kilku miesięcy praktycznie codzienność. Wczoraj na ulice stolicy wyszło tysiące strażaków z całego kraju. Domagają się oni od rządu uznania ich zawodu za niebezpieczny i tym samym podwyższenia im zamrożonych od 25 lat wynagrodzeń o 200 euro, a także zagwarantowania obecnych planów emerytalnych.
Potrzebujemy zwiększenia zatrudnienia i dodatkowych środków, żeby sprawnie reagować, ale także gwarancji, że będziemy mogli koncentrować się na naszych zadaniach, sytuacjach kryzysowych, a nie służyć jako uzupełnienie brakujących usług zdrowotnych – powiedział agencji AFP Frédéric Perrin, prezes jednego ze związków.
W trakcie protestu dwóch strażaków podpaliło się, ma to symbolizować zagrożenie życia, jakie niesie wykonywany przez nich zawód.
Doszło również do starć z policją, przeciw strażakom użyto pałek, armatek wodnych i gazu łzawiącego.
